The kingdom of fire and ice

Perhaps glaciers are my favorite natural phenomenon. They leave me breathless in their pristine beauty and power, I am struck by their grandeur, diversity and quirkiness of forms. As there is no similar mountain, so there is no similar glacier. The Icelandic glacier Sólheimajökull is probably in my TOP-5 favorites. Now I am longing to visit Iceland in winter for the ice caves and aurora boreals.
